Proper construction can eliminate gaps from forming where the stair treads meet the skirt board and prevent the occurance of squeaks that often develop over time. Exacting measurements and proper execution of milling components are critical to both the quality of the finished product and meeting the exacting requirements in the building code to insure your safety.

The photos here show the steps required to mill the skirt boards to receive the treads and how we secure the components on the underside with glued and screwed supports.

Newel posts must be milled to exacting tolerances to achieve a quality fit.

Balustrades and posts can be formed in colonial, art deco and contempory styles.
